Once upon a time I was making a course to help you get a remote job. It was called, Roadmap to Remote.
But in the midst of creating it, I wrote a book about the future of work instead.
And that took up all my time. So I never made a course to teach people how to get a remote job. Instead, I published a book:
The book isn’t exactly about remote work. Instead, it’s about the future of work and how employers are looking for employees who have the digital skills to succeed in the future of work.
Remote work requires that you have a variety of skills:
- Comfort with collaboration software like Slack, Trello, and more.
- Ability to communicate across virtual teams
- Creative problem solving
- Project management to keep yourself on track when a manager isn’t around
That’s on top of the skills that are required for the job.
So if you’re looking for a course on how to get a remote job, I don’t have it.
Instead, I’ve got a book on the the future of work and learn the many paths you can take to learn a new skill in my new book, Punch Doubt in the Face: How to Upskill, Change Careers, and Beat the Robots.
